It's was a busy July 4th weekend. The organizers for Rushsylvania and West Mansfield's Independence Day celebrations were kind enough to let us set up a table/tent to help get educate the public about the progress we have made and projects coming into Logan County.
We were able to get 251 letters signed at Rushsylvania and another 206 letters at West Mansfield. We will be mailing those to the OPSB very soon and I can't wait to see them all posted and added to what has already been sent in. Every letter makes a bold statement. Every yard sign sends the message that large solar facilities are not welcome here in Logan County. I have had several people mention that contractors, solar developers, and our elected officials are noticing those yard signs, so they are very important to help get the word out.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you who stopped by and signed letters, the petitions, PILOT cards, and added your name to our email list. It's extremely difficult for us to communicate to the public what is happening and there is so much information to share throughout the month. Adding your email to the list is one of the best ways to stay informed on the various projects across Logan County.
Thank you to Sheila Ballinger, Jeny Hammer, Michele Whitford, Rhonda Lane, Brian Kavanaugh, Trisha Duncan, and Mark Slonecker for helping out at the events. We will be sharing a booth in the Merchant Building at the Logan County Fair with the Convention of States group and need many volunteers to help man the booth. We are required to have someone present from noon - 9:00pm every day of the fair. If you are interested in helping, even if it's 30 minutes to give someone a short break, it will be appreciated! Please contact Kara Slonecker at sloneckerfamily@yahoo.com if you can help us out.
This is the first I’ve heard about letters or a petition? What can I do to get our households included?
