There are 8 criteria the Ohio Power Siting Board looks at to approve or deny solar/wind projects in Ohio. If the project does not meet all 8 it will get denied. Number 6 on the list states that the facility will serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity. This is where opposition letters come into play. We have to prove that it does not meet the public interest by telling them in writing.
We have created several template letters to help make it easier for you. Each letter sends a powerful message to the OPSB that industrial solar is not welcome in Logan County. We want to preserve our farmland!
All you need to do is complete the red sections, print the letter, and mail it to Ohio Power Siting Board 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or you can send it in via email contactOPSB@puco.ohio.gov
You can send in multiple different letters if you choose or you can send letters in anonymously as well (just don't add your address or name to the letter). You do not have to live in Logan County to send a letter in. Adjust the wording to your circumstances and send it in. If you would like to help us create additional letters please let us know!
